Volleybody is a high-intensity fitness programme inspired by the training regimes of the world’s best beach volleyball players, created for the home, outdoors, the gym or even on the sand, delivering the fitness levels and healthy body shape you’ve always wanted.


Volleybody is founded on the scientific training principles of a professional beach volleyball athlete’s physical programme. The exercises take inspiration from three core moves within a volleyball game – defending, hitting and blocking a ball.

However the training required to perform these moves has been broken down, focusing on upper and lower body strength plus high intensity interval training to deliver a truly unique fitness programme

Above all, Volleybody aims to help you achieve a volley body!


Volleybody was conceived following the Olympic Games in 2012. Inspired by watching beach volleyball, both due to the energy of the sport itself but also the athletes' incredible physiques, I realised there must be a way of taking their training programme and creating a version for the average woman.

I have been working with the British Beach Volleyball strength and conditioning coach, Kate Eddy and the Olympic team themselves - Zara Dampney and Shauna Mullin – to create this unique programme. 

Volleybody is designed for those who already exercise but are looking for a new fitness challenge. Perhaps you work out in a gym, go to spinning classes, see a Personal Trainer, go to yoga or have even bought the latest fitness DVD, but you are looking for something new to refresh your exercise regime.

Volleybody will be available online initially delivering an updated fitness programme once a month to members, which will include video content plus a downloadable programme you can take to the gym or even do in your living room. The programme will also roll out into gyms as a Volleybody class later in 2013, so watch this space …
